Jim Thornton's Election Blog..."Priorities"

As we come towards the end of the campaign, and you can see that you have limited time (and physical stamina) ahead, you have the enjoyable task of choosing priorities. This one has been more entertaining than usual as we really do not know where an Independent will pick up votes. Will it be in Labour Areas or Lib-Dem areas? Will the Conservative vote hold up? Where do we concentrate our second leaflet given that we cannot do all the areas again? What calculations is Peter Ruffles doing? Where does the old Pro think he is vulnerable? I am beginning to think that people are tiring of the expenses scandal day after day and the amounts now are small and the Daily Telegraph's campaign is beginning, I suspect, to be a bit counter-productive. David Cameron is coming out of it better than the rest, so I expect the Conservative vote will hold up more than the Labour vote. Will people simply revert to their tribal voting patterns? Are there such things anymore, or is everybody a floating voter? Not long to go now to find out.
