Much Hadham Ward

Mary Wilkinson

I have lived in the Hadhams for the last 29 years. I am keen to represent Much Hadham as an Independent so that people can have a local independent, non-party voice to fight for them. I have a background in Social Care and am now helping to run the family Eco Construction Company and am keen to enthuse the local council into taking environmental issues seriously. I intend, if elected, to be available to meet with people regularly and be in contact electronically so that people can have easy access to me. I would like to build up a positive community spirit within the village and forward the creation of a sustainable and cohesive structure for the benefit of every one. It is important that young people’s issues are recognised and catered for so that they can be encouraged to take an active role in their community. I will endeavour to do this. I also recognise the impact on the community of Stansted airport and Harlow north expansion and am anxious to enable the community to voice its opinion on these important issues.
I hope you will vote for me and your voice on 3rd May.

I want to work for:

A healthy Environment:

East Herts Council should be leading the way in protecting the environment, in reducing carbon emissions throughout the District, and in encouraging sustainable development

Tight Control of Council Expenditure:

I do not want to see pensioners and families struggling to pay higher and higher Council taxes

Better Community:

I want to do what I can to bring people together and to build good relationships throughout the Ward

More facilities for our Young People:

I want to see excellent leisure facilities in East Herts for the widest range of interests, and I want to see more initiatives for energy efficient affordable housing in rural areas
